Slack Integration
Connect a Slack workspace to an ANTS Platform project to post findings into Slack channels. Messages are sent when someone chooses to send them, or automatically by the automation rules you set up.
What you can do

| Governance > Evidence Collection (assigning an agent's evidence request) and My Requests (Send via Slack) | Posts a request for the agent's compliance evidence. When a reviewer requests changes, the feedback is posted in the same thread. |
| Automations | A Slack action in a rule posts a message with the event's title, details, severity and an Open in ANTS button when the rule's event happens, for example a guardrail violation, a drift alert or a Budget AI threshold. Messages are posted by the ANTS Platform bot and can be sent only to public channels. The bot does not need to be invited to a channel first.
Requirements
- Permission to install apps in the Slack workspace, or a Slack admin who approves the install.
- In ANTS Platform, the Owner role, or a custom role with access to Integrations (notification integrations) and admin access to Governance. See Members & Roles.
Self-hosted deployments. The operator must create a Slack app and set
SLACK_CLIENT_ID, SLACK_CLIENT_SECRET and SLACK_STATE_SECRET for the web
service. The app needs the bot scopes channels:read, channels:history,
channels:join, chat:write, chat:write.public, users:read and
users:read.email, and the redirect URL
https://<your-ants-host>/api/public/slack/oauth. Without these values the
Connect Slack button does not work.
Connect Slack
Open the Slack integration
Go to Project Settings > Integrations and open the Slack card.
Install the app
Select Connect Slack. A Slack window opens. Choose the workspace and allow the requested permissions. When it finishes, the card shows Connected with the workspace name, team ID and bot user.
Send a test message
Under Test Integration, choose a channel in Select Test Channel and send a test message.
Map agents to channels
The page shows Slack Mappings. Select Manage Mappings and assign each agent to a channel. Compliance notifications and requests for that agent go to its channel.
The bot token is encrypted at rest. Each project connects to one Slack workspace. To change it, disconnect and connect again.
Troubleshooting
- The Slack window does not open. Allow pop-ups for ANTS Platform and try again.
- A channel is missing from the list. Only public, non-archived channels are listed. Private channels are not supported.
- "Connection Failed". On self-hosted deployments, check the Slack app credentials and redirect URL above.
- No Slack icon in the notification dialogs. Slack is not connected in this project, the agent has no mapped channel, or you lack the permissions above.
