Jira Integration
Connect Jira so people can turn ANTS Platform findings into Jira tickets with one click. Tickets are created when someone chooses to send them, or automatically by a Jira action in an automation rule.
What you can do
| Where | What happens |
|---|---|
| AI Optimizer recommendations | Create Jira Ticket opens a form prefilled with the recommendation. One ticket is tracked per agent, and its Jira status is shown next to the recommendation. |
| AI Agent Center > agent > Risk tab > Unapproved Models | The Jira icon opens Send Compliance Notification. Pick Jira (and any other connected tool) to create an issue listing the unapproved models and trace count. |
| Governance > Evidence Collection (assigning an agent's evidence request) and My Requests (Send via Jira) | Creates a ticket asking the assignee to provide the agent's compliance evidence, on the Jira project you pick or the one mapped to the agent. |
| Automations | A Jira issue action in a rule creates an issue in the Jira project, issue type, priority and labels you choose each time the rule's event happens, for example a guardrail violation or a drift alert. The Automations button on the Jira integration page lists the rules that create Jira issues. See Automations. |
Requirements
- A Jira Cloud site (for example
https://your-company.atlassian.net). The integration uses the Jira Cloud REST API v3. - A Jira account and an Atlassian API token for that account. Tickets are created as this account, so it needs permission to browse and create issues in the projects you use.
- In ANTS Platform, the Owner role, or a custom role with access to Integrations (notification integrations) and admin access to Governance. See Members & Roles.
Connect Jira
Create an API token
In your Atlassian account, open Security > API tokens, create a token and copy it.
Open the Jira integration
In ANTS Platform, go to Project Settings > Integrations and open the Jira card.
Enter the connection details
Select Connect Jira and fill in Connect to Jira:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Jira Host URL | Your site URL, for example https://your-company.atlassian.net |
| Email Address | The email of the Jira account |
| API Token | The token you created |
ANTS Platform checks the credentials against Jira before saving. The token is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
Map agents to boards
When connected, the page shows Jira Mappings. Select Manage Mappings and assign each agent to a Jira board. Compliance evidence requests for an agent go to its mapped board. The ticket form for recommendations also preselects the mapped project.
Each project connects to one Jira site. To change it, disconnect and connect again.
Creating a ticket
The Create Jira Ticket form has these fields:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Space | The Jira project. Defaults to the project mapped to the agent. |
| Work Type | Epic, Task, Story or Bug |
| Summary | Prefilled from the finding |
| Description | Prefilled with the details |
| Assignee | Optional. Lists users who can be assigned in the project. |
After the ticket is created, ANTS Platform shows its key and a link, and refreshes the Jira status when you view it.
Troubleshooting
- "Invalid Jira credentials". Check the site URL, the email and that the API token has not been revoked.
- Connection Issue on the Jira page. The token was revoked or expired. Disconnect and connect again with a new token.
- A project or board is missing. The Jira account can only see projects it has permission to browse.
- No Jira icon in the notification dialogs. Jira is not connected in this project, or you lack the permissions above.
