Linear Integration
Connect Linear so people can turn ANTS Platform findings into Linear issues with one click. Issues are created when someone chooses to send them. Nothing is created automatically.
What you can do
| Where | What happens |
|---|---|
| AI Optimizer recommendations | Create Linear Issue opens a form prefilled with the recommendation. One issue is tracked per agent, and its Linear status is shown next to the recommendation. |
| AI Agent Center > agent > Risk tab > Unapproved Models | The Linear icon opens Send Compliance Notification with Linear selected. Add Slack, Jira or other connected tools, then select Send Notification. |
| Governance > Evidence Collection (assigning an agent's evidence request) and My Requests (Send via Linear) | Creates an issue asking the assignee to provide the agent's compliance evidence, in the Linear team you pick or the one mapped to the agent. |
Requirements
- A Linear personal API key. Issues are created as the key's owner.
- In ANTS Platform, the Owner role, or a custom role with access to Integrations (notification integrations) and admin access to Governance. See Members & Roles.
Connect Linear
Create a Linear API key
In Linear, open your account security settings
(https://linear.app/settings/account/security), create a personal API key
and copy it. It starts with lin_api_.
Give the key access to All teams so ANTS Platform can see both public and private teams.
Connect in ANTS Platform
Go to Project Settings > Integrations, open the Linear card and select Connect Linear. Paste the key into API Key and connect. ANTS Platform checks the key with Linear before saving. The key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
Map agents to teams
When connected, the page shows Linear Mappings. Select Manage Mappings and assign each agent to a Linear team. Notifications and requests for that agent default to the mapped team.
Creating an issue
The Create Linear Issue form has Team, Title, Description,
Priority and Assignee. After the issue is created, ANTS Platform shows
its identifier (for example ENG-123) and a link, and refreshes the Linear
status when you view it.
Troubleshooting
- "Invalid API key". Check that the key starts with
lin_api_and has not been revoked, then generate a new one if needed. - No teams after connecting. Select Refresh Status on the connection card. If teams are still missing, the key does not have access to them. Create a key with All teams access and reconnect.
- Issue status looks stale. Status is refreshed from Linear when you view the issue. Issues created in the last few seconds are not refreshed yet.
- Insufficient permissions. You need the permissions listed under Requirements.
